Winner of the East Riding Lieutenancy's 'Design a Card for The King's Coronation' competition
On Wednesday 24th May Holderness Academy were delighted to host His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant to present the Category Three (Years 7-9) Winner of the East Riding Lieutenancy's Design a Card for The King's Coronation competition.
Ryan M's card was selected from over 200 card entries and the ER Lord-Lieutenant, Mr. Jim Dick, OBE, said “judging was not an easy task. The winning cards chosen reflected both the Coronation and features of Hull and the East Riding.”
The card featuring the winning designs will shortly be sent to Their Majesties The King and The Queen congratulating them on their Coronation.
Ryan was joined by his parents and the runners up form Holderness Academy Evie, Sophie and Lauren. Both himself and the school were presented with a framed copy of his winning design.
They were delighted to be also joined by Cllr Di Storr the 676th Mayor of Hedon who enjoyed this event as her first public engagement and the CEO of the Consortium Trust of which the academy is a part of.
